In the museum at Aga Khan Palace, there are quite a few pictures and mentions of Yevada Jail ... where Gandhi was imprisoned in solitary. It was in Yevada where he started a prolonged hunger strike.
My driver offered to take me to see Yevada Jail ... so off we went!
Unfortunately, no photographs are allowed of the building (interior and exterior). It is still used as a jail ... so security is a big concern - understandably.
Because it is an active jail, I was not allowed to enter ... so I just stood outside the barbed wire fence. But there I was ... at the same location where Gandhi was imprisoned.
